iC-Haus: The Next Generation 21.09.2011
iC-Haus is expanding its facilities in Bodenheim, located in the Rhine Main Area in the heart of Germany.
A groundbreaking ceremony occurred for a new and fourth building on August 12th, 2011. This new building of 4,600 square meters, or approximately 50,000 square feet, will significantly increase capacities for the production of the company‘s integrated circuits and microsystems. The transparent manufacturing area allows visitors to view wafer probing and iC testing. A directly linked logistics center will ensure that deliveries are made on time worldwide. The new building 4 will house the test and microsystem development unit that is also entrusted with maintenance of the production lines, a precision engineering section, and an electronics lab.

A meeting and training center will also be included in the new facility for the demonstration and discussion of iC-Haus integrated circuit and microsystem applications with customers and iC-Haus distribution partners.

The architecture, design, and energy concept are in line with desired expectations of a high-tech company. By combining heat and power generation for heating, air conditioning, and backup power supply systems, the new facility exceeds the 2012 environmental and safety standards for a resource-saving industrial plant. The groundbreaking ceremony attended by iC-Haus employees, families, and global business partners demonstrates that iC-Haus is geared towards both growth and the future.
